- No problem. Alertisys offers a custom request/response scripting engine that allows you to specify specific request from the system that we are monitoring. This can be used to simulate a common activity of a user, issue necessary commands to the system, log into the system, and much more. Because of this, you can literally check any kind of system proprietary or not. In addition to this, we also allow you to set up a list of desired responses from the system after issuing your custom request. Notification, Escalations and Alerts can all be associated to various responses received.
- Can you monitor systems other then Web Servers (or Web Sites), Email Systems, etc.?
- This is a major selling point for us. Our system offers extremely complex monitoring methods and protocols not available through other services. We have not found a system yet that we are not capable of monitoring. Monitoring is not limited to computers either; we can monitor switches, routers, and virtually any device connected to a network. We have also incorporated specific 'bots' and 'protocol readers' into our system so we can even tell you when your system resources are too high and you need additional CPU or RAM resources.
- How much does your service cost?
- Alertisys has various modules that make up a package. We have a few suggested packages already set up. However, the real power for our customers is in their ability to customize their own package and choose only the modules needed for their needs. This saves our customer money and gives them a service catered for what they need.
- Where can I see how other companies in my industry have utilized the Alertisys Service?
- We have put together a list of ways that specific industries can utilize our services. This is only to give you ideas and is not limited to the scenerios that others have implemented. We put together the list for two main reasons; the first being that most companies don't even realize how exposed much of their infrastructures are to failure or downtime which directly results in client dissatisfaction and loss of revenue, and second, that most companies don't even realize what we are capable of doing.
- Do I need to install any software on the system that I am having you monitor?
- None of our basic services require you to have special software running on your systems. In most cases, not even our advanced monitoring needs it. Certain complex monitoring services such as system utilization monitoring does require special protocols to be enabled on your devices but in most cases those protocols are already running on those devices.
- How often can I modify my notification schedule and monitoring preferences? and do I need to call you?
- As often as you want. Your preferences are available through our online command console which is available to you from any computer with internet access. Making modifications on most preferences can be modified using the command console and do not require you to contact us.
