Alertisys creates leading edge technology for scheduling
March 15, 2002 - Fresno, California. Fueled by the desire to duplicate the process currently used for contact notification and escalation with a company's infrastructure, Alertisys has created a new scheduling technology for their service that allows for extensive administrative customization. The new scheduling will allow for any number of employees work or "on-call" schedules to be set into the system. Certain hours can then be allocated for varying methods of notification. The schedules are then associated to events and errors that take place through a complex rules system. "We can have one individual who gets notified via email during work hours and called by phone during sleep hours, then set him up to be on call for a certain severity or type of error on a given service or device on only Tuesdays and Thursdays. We can then use that same logic to do any combination for additional employees and associate it into the system. We believe that these changes will add functionality and make the system more usable for companies with complex needs and staff," said Matt Johnson, Chief Technology Officer for Alertisys, Inc.
